What do you mean drones can't engage in close combat? I've seen an FPV take out a recon drone with a stick, how's that not cc?

The problem with CC is not the critical range, it is that the CC values are ridiculously high, making melee a much better option than shooting. Some of the forces make you feel like you are playing 40K

I think the essentials line is a great idea and far better than trying to keep code one and main gaming rules

That Start Here box is really clever, I think you've hit the content vs price balance really well.

I do hope the rules will be more streamlined/understandable (I dont want overly simplified, but enough that the phrase "not even the writers know how to play infinity" isnt the case any more)

Awesome!! I've been playing since N2 and the ARM roll still trips me up some times! Glad to see it stream-lined in to the rest of the game. And the JSA sectorial looks Amazing!
